My Story

We had interblock games today. Morning had floorball. My block only 2 girls showed up so we tak jadi take part in it lo. So instead we joined other block girls in the final haha. Just for the feeling of the game la. Oh anyway floorball is like ice hockey. Except that it's not on ice, the sticks are made of plastic stuff, and d ball's oso plastic ball like those kids play dat kind. Not bad la when get d ball js whack like crazy...i din even care to whom haha...so teruk.

The important event is in the afternoon. We played touch rugby. It's not rugby la...not so rough. Basic rules: can only pass back, when u kena touch u must put the ball down n let ur teammate pick it up and defenders hv to move back, and u score by touching down d ball at the finishing end. Y is this event important? Cos block 6 steamrolled their way to the gold wahahaha... We played mixed team la...bout 3 guys and 1 girl. Scored like 2-1, 6-2, n 4-0...something like dat. Haha actually it was cos we had 3 guy seniors who play the sport. So...we js had to pass to them and they'll handle it...we js take care of the touching haha. So cool block 6 finally got to win a sport in the IBG (thanks to seniors of course)...although we may be small in number, our spirits are high.

At night pulak got something like finale of hall orientation. We were led to a few spots and the seniors acted out some activities that we hv went thru b4 during orientation. Then there was an intiation. They gave us a giant ball and we had to put it up to the 3rd floor with all of us still on the ground floor. Wow...the idea of it was overwhelming. How in the world r we gonna do that? But, anyway there were lots of seniors on the 2nd n 3rd floor...so we knew we must use them. We had to keep the giant ball in air and not let it touch the ground leh and it must b rolling around. Not stationary. Boy, what a great exercise for my hands. In the history of Raffles the ball nvr touched the ground before. Well...we had to do it didn't we. We were passing the ball around in a circle...whoops....overshot the ppl....ball unbalanced....toink toink toink....ball falls to the ground. Gosh...so embarassing. Hmm...well anyway we still had to pull the ball up to the third floor. The seniors had pulleys with them. And we had rope. So we passed ropes to our both sides...2 ropes...hmm dunno how to explain...if got picture I'll put it up...and then make a net with shirts....and put the ball onto it...then pull it up...so cool and happy when it was flying high up there in the middle of nowhere. Sounds simple...but I think we took 2 hours plus to complete it...*phew*....damn tired hands...and throats cos had to cheer as well...worth it anyway...it was a fun experience overall...
