Doulos

I visited the Doulos today. It’s a ship that goes around the world organized by a Christian society. The main attraction there is the book fair. Actually it was quite a small book fair. I think the ship’s main job is to spread the word of God. Anyway I’ve been to this ship the previous previous time it was in Port Klang. This weekend is the last weekend the ship will be in Klang. After this it’ll be setting off for Pasir Gudang. Today I went there with my mum and her friend. My mum’s friend’s nephew is volunteering on the ship. Since he was working there, we got to tour around the ship. If it weren’t for the tour, I wouldn’t have gone there. Cos the book fair area was small and stuffy. There were lots of ppl cramped in the small area. It was so hot…

Anway, my mum’s friend’s nephew, D Way, what a cute name, brought us around the ship. The place is like a small town…they have cabins (where they sleep of course), a clinic, school, dining area, kitchen and even a fire station. D Way also showed us where he worked, the engine room, the only place that’s hot. He even explained to us how the engines work. He just finished a biotech course and now he’s doing engineering…haha. But I doubt he minds at all. He says that it’s a very good experience. They really learn a lot. His volunteering period is 2 years. There’s also a temporary period of 2 months for those who are interested but they do not learn as much. But, if you want to volunteer to work on the ship, you have to pay them instead of you getting paid. Guess it’s something like a on-job training thing. Weird but I guess the volunteers will feel it’s worth it.

Meshala, is leaving for India tonight. She’s a JPA scholar. Gonna pursue dentistry in a college in India. The first one of my close friends to go overseas to study. The rest are still stuck in form 6 and college. It feels so weird actually. One day we were all innocent (k not so innocent) girls in form 5. Then, we’re now all in different places and surroundings. Some get boyfriends, some go far away…sometimes these changes are not a very nice feeling. I’m still me…I don’t feel I’ve changed. Others just spread their wings and fly off. Of course I know that ppl have to grow up, but sometimes I just wish that I could turn back time and go back to the time where we’re all still stuck together, do things together, just have a happy relationship with nothing in between us. No air, space, ppl in between… Well, anyway that’s the past. We’ll all just have to get on with our lives and maintain our friendship as best as we can. Good luck to you Meshu. I know I’ll see a very successful dentist in the future. I know I’ll also get free dental checkups next time. =p just kidding….

Now, let me tell you all about the current talk of the town if you all haven’t heard about it yet. Yesterday there was kind of a gang fight outside my school. Most of the students were from my school but I heard there were outsiders involved as well. It seems it started on Monday. 2 guys fought and then you know guys…they get their gangs together and start fighting. it was just outside the school near Modern there. I didn’t witness it myself but I did see crowds and guys holding sticks. Scary…there was a guy who got injured in the head. Heard he went into a coma, almost died but he woke up. I guess he’s quite fine. Sounds so serious…

Then. today there was supposed to be another showdown. I guess they wanna balas dendam or something liddat. They were targeting the prefects so I heard because earlier in the week the prefects stopped a fight. The prefects were quite afraid and they had meeting and they were asked to go home earlier. They said the gangs were waiting outside with parangs. I dunno how true this is. But, when I went out, I saw a sea of students all waiting for the fight to happen. But I think the gang members had to run away cos there was a police car waiting outside the school. I really wonder if there is any sense in those ppl. Can’t they see that their fighting can cause injuries and deaths?? They’re so violent. But my teacher did say that it’s very common in my school. And I think it’s quite common in other schools as well especially boys school. Weird thinking they have. We can just pray that everything goes well and there won’t be anymore fights. It scares me just thinking about it…

Normally I won't be online at this hour on a school day... But I came on business....=p Hehe....my dad asked me to come to search for how to pay for astro. Cos my house astro got cut this afternoon. And tonight got france and portugal game. It's not that my dad didn't pay...it's cos he use autodebit and somehow the bank didn't pay for 1 month. So my astro becomes the victim. Hope that this can be settled quickly. Cos I really wanna watch tonight's match. I hope France wins. Hate Cristiano Ronaldo. Such a complainer and a faker. Love Zizou. Such a talented old player. I really hope that France wins the world cup this year...

And what the hell is wrong with friendster??? Sign in and they don't direct me to my homepage also. Haih...I don't come online for 3 weeks...and the whole system goes havoc...=p
