My Story

So, what have I achieved these 4 days...before I start the "food blog" session, places I visited first...my 1st aunt's place in PJ...didn't get to see my 2-month old nephew though cos he was out at his mum's place. Ah...that's about all the places I went to so far hehe...
Now, on to the food I have missed ever so long. My first meal was in Old Town...roti bakar...geesh...i guess I am a "bread" girl after all haha... after that had char kuey teow, popiah in and the famous jawa mee in PJ though it's not that delightful...probably wrong shop to go to.
Sunday's breakfast started off with my favourite nasi lemak stall. Just when I was about to leave, saw this lady on motorbike selling fresh prawns...they were still jumping around...wow...my mum would have probably bought it if not for the 3 packets of prawns already in our home fridge hehe...
Other notable meals were of course my mum's home cooked dishes...fish and prawns....yummy...proud to say I did quite a part of the cooking as well haha...can say my culinary(is that spelled right?) skills have improved since I've been stuck in Singapore for quite some time now...
Geesh there goes half of my post blogging bout food again... =p

Anyway, I'm going back home tmr. Gotta start of early in the morning to catch the bus in Larkin...bought the 10.30am ticket. Hopefully I can reach in time...actually it's pretty safe...the timing. Yest Boon Chek asked me what's the first thing I'm gonna eat when I get back home. I can't list what's the first cos it depends on availability so I'll js list the food I want to eat...the food I most miss nw:-
1. Mum's home cooked food (of course...even here I have a sublist eg: potato soup, red zhai vege dish)
2. Charcoal toasted bread from "China" (it's actually a shop named "Chong Kwok" = "China")
3. Pisang goreng & currypuff & fried ubi (I think) from those roadside Malay stalls
4. Curry mee, char kuay teow...and probably all the noodles that I can find...
5. Suan pan zhi (it's a Teochew dish which I first discovered in Malacca...and have fallen in love with it since then)
6. Seremban egg tart and siew pau (if I can get my hands on it)
Those are my cravings for nw...haha...I guess Jon and Gail are right...my blog seems to be a food blog...haha...especially nearing the time for me to go home...
PS: Images shown are for display purposes only...not to be eaten however good it looks...anyway it's googled...I dun hv the real pics...although I do have a photo of the Seremban siew pau and egg tarts...js dun hv them with me right nw...
Countdown: 1 more day to home... =)

Johor...
What did I have? Curry pork rib mee, Thai tomyam fried mee hoon, roti telur, McD ice cream, sushi, Auntie Anne's pretzels and yau char kuai....Ok maybe not all are of M'sia's genre but it was one satisfying trip getting out of Singapore food taste after quite a long while. Which just leaves some other favourite food of mine which I'll get to taste next week when I get back home and my mum can cook them for me...yay...I can smell it d...potato soup, red zhai dish...
My time in Johor was spent mostly rounding malls haha...just window shopping. And yea...I caught Kung Fu Panda at CT Square already.
It was quite hilarious. If not for the 2 girls who I think already watched it before it would have been even more funny. The 2 girls were pointing out to each other which are the funny moments before it even happened...geesh...luckily it wasn't all the time...only towards the end of the movie garrkkk...
But the part I enjoyed most about Johor was not the food, the movie, the malls...it was really the time I spent with my sis. Catching up with her was the best part of the trip...of course it IS after all y I went over to Johor haha... After all I think we din see each other for almost 2 months now I think...when I hol she busy and when she hol I busy pulak...what to do what to do. But I feel guilty though....cos I spent so much of her money over the weekend...on food, my supplies....argh...oh well, once in a while it's alright rite Miao hehe...I know I know...thanks Miao I really enjoyed my weekend. Love ya.
